What Can This System Run?
Depending on the installation and individual energy requirements, a system of this size can support many everyday electrical loads including lighting, fridges and freezers, TVs, Wi-Fi, computers and compatible household appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, microwaves, kettles, coffee machines, pumps and power tools.
The system uses a 5kW hybrid inverter. The number and type of appliances that can operate simultaneously will depend on their combined power consumption, starting/surge requirements and the final system configuration.
High-demand appliances such as electric showers, EV chargers, electric heating, large immersion heaters and other high-power equipment may require load management or a larger system.
Designed for Solar Self-Consumption & Off-Grid Applications
During daylight hours, available solar energy can be used to power electrical loads and charge the battery. Stored energy can then be used when solar generation is insufficient, including during the evening and overnight.
The system includes approximately 10kWh nominal battery storage. Customers requiring greater energy storage can add further compatible Dyness battery capacity, subject to the battery, inverter and overall system design limits. Dyness specifies that its DL5.0C platform supports expansion by connecting additional modules in parallel.
Adding additional battery capacity increases the amount of energy available for storage; it does not by itself increase the maximum output of the 5kW inverter.
Actual solar generation, usable battery energy and off-grid runtime will vary depending on electricity consumption, weather, season, panel orientation, shading, battery settings and system losses. Additional battery capacity or backup generation may be required for properties seeking greater off-grid autonomy.
Installation is not included unless specifically stated.
